President Bush (or G-dubs, as Valerie likes to call him XD) did indeed come to our campus... and I was there to greet him, with about 50 or so other people, holding up signs that said things like "Drop Bush, Not Bombs!" and "Somewhere between Dick and Bush, we got screwed!" Yup, I somehow got involved in a protest. I wasn't quite expecting to be doing that this morning, but from 8:30am until 12:30pm, I was holding up a sign with a death count on it for the war.
So watch out, you might see me on the news XD;.
The whole ordeal of him coming to campus was kind of scary, actually. There were snipers up on the rooftops, and secret service guys and federal officers had overtaken about half the campus. Helicopters were flying everywhere too, doing security sweeps.
Of course my father called me, to ask if I was going to be playing with the marching band at the event. "Umm... well, not exactly. Actually, I'm at the protest," said I. "..." said my hardcore republican father XD;. My parents decided to not disown me though, which is so graceful of them.
So that was my day. Now off to class XD;.
