Welp, I just spent my morning out in the freezing cold XD;.

President Bush (or G-dubs, as Valerie likes to call him XD) did indeed come to our campus... and I was there to greet him, with about 50 or so other people, holding up signs that said things like "Drop Bush, Not Bombs!" and "Somewhere between Dick and Bush, we got screwed!" Yup, I somehow got involved in a protest. I wasn't quite expecting to be doing that this morning, but from 8:30am until 12:30pm, I was holding up a sign with a death count on it for the war.

So watch out, you might see me on the news XD;.

The whole ordeal of him coming to campus was kind of scary, actually. There were snipers up on the rooftops, and secret service guys and federal officers had overtaken about half the campus. Helicopters were flying everywhere too, doing security sweeps.

Of course my father called me, to ask if I was going to be playing with the marching band at the event. "Umm... well, not exactly. Actually, I'm at the protest," said I. "..." said my hardcore republican father XD;. My parents decided to not disown me though, which is so graceful of them.

So that was my day. Now off to class XD;.

XD Oh my... I would be scared shitless to be in a protest against the President, in his presence. *is a hard core "respect your elders except your parents" type person.* *pets* Ganbatte in class! *will look out for you in the news*

There's something really thrilling about being able to stand before the man that has so much impact on your country... and tell him he's fucked up XD;. I enjoyed it too much, I think ^^;;;. Ohhh, and respecting your elders is so not fun, come on XD;.

XD I bet there is! Still. I'd be pissing myself. XDDD And you can't enjoy something too much. Unless it kills you. But I think you're still alive, unless you're like Helen who can still type when she's a ghost. XD

Oh come on, you think George Bush is that scary XDD? He's not really, so NO FEARS! The leader of this nation is... not very tough looking XD;. We should all aspire to be like Helen, with ghost-typing!properties XD.

XD True. If he came to Canada I wouldn't be scared, because he would hold no power over the place I live. But if I lived in America. Yeah. I'd be scared all the time.

*dramatic hopeful pose* Oh how I yearn to be like Helen when I die!! Again.

Who is Canada's leader-person? I know nothing about Canada's government, I just realized XD;. Perhaps I always just thought of Martial Law being in place up there XDD;?

...Oh god.. XD I should know this better!!!! It's umm... Something Martin. XD
Nov. 13th, 2006 02:45 pm (UTC)
I like that you know the name of America's leader, but not your own XDD;. Although, I suppose G-dubs is just that notoriously known ^^;.
Nov. 13th, 2006 02:51 pm (UTC)
XD;;; I guess so.
Nov. 3rd, 2006 09:47 pm (UTC)
I wish I was there with you. I would have protested, too. >F

Well, this is the second time that George Bush has come to my campus (he did in 1992 also, apparently, although I definitely wasn't in college then ^^;), I shall warn you, and we can scream at him angrily together XDD.

I'm glad you didn't have to do the marching band but omg the protest. XDDD *almost died laughing* HEY I WANNA BE THERE WITH YOU! *PUTS ON SPY!INUI OUTFIT AND HOLDS UP SIGN*
Nov. 7th, 2006 04:35 am (UTC)
Protesting was pretty fun XD;. I got to hold up a sign, and chant, and such XDD;. Although, I about ran away when they all started chanting "Bush is a terrorist!" I thought that was going too far XD;.
Nov. 8th, 2006 01:47 am (UTC)
Oh dear. XD;; I am glad no one got arrested for going too far though. *squishclings*
Nov. 8th, 2006 05:39 pm (UTC)
My mother told me no one got arrested, because it was in the newspaper... then she told me she was reading the article to see whether I'd gotten arrested or not XDD;. No matter where I go, she thinks I'm going to get arrested, so maybe I should just do what she wants and get arrested sometime. Helen! You've got to help me think of an awesome way to get arrested! I was thinking of kidnapping... an 18-year-old asian boy. And making him wear nail polish and eye liner. Maybe that's going too far? Hmmm... XDD; (I did not say such a thing!)
Nov. 9th, 2006 09:59 pm (UTC)
Well that is not nice. XD;; *pokes your mom* M-sama, I shall bail you out! I say you try to attempt kidnapping... my brother can be the target. He's close to 18. XDDD
Nov. 13th, 2006 02:46 pm (UTC)
Omg... did you just offer to let me kidnap your brother XDDDDDDDD? I'm so doing it. I can't pass up such an offer XD. In return, you can kidnap my brother ^.^V.
Nov. 14th, 2006 05:28 am (UTC)
XDDDDDDDDDDDD I should have asked him first. Ah well. And your brother? Doesn't he have band things to do or something? I shan't ruin his career. XDDD
Nov. 14th, 2006 05:33 am (UTC)
Hey, if you ask your brother first, then it's not kidnapping. Will you rip my joy from me o.o? And I'm sure my brother would love to try out playing rock shows in California... just make sure he has room to swivel about as he practices his bass, or he might get unruly XD;.
Nov. 16th, 2006 12:43 am (UTC)
Okay, I didn't ask him. XD I won't ruin your fun trying to kidnap him! Though he might put up a struggle unless you mention who you are. XD

And hey your bro is welcome. He might make it big!
